Launching Your Food eCommerce Site

If you haven’t already signed up for a Shift4Shop store, then that will be your first step. Once you do, you will be set up with login credentials to let you get into the backend of your store and begin customizations. Once you’re there, the first thing you want to do is pick your theme. Keep in mind — you will be able to select any theme, even if it's not food related. Some of the themes are categorized to help make an easier transition, but each and every single one of them is meant to be all-purpose.

2. Put It All Together

Assuming you have a product and some photos of it, it's time to build out your eCommerce food store. During this process, you want to get comfortable with the backend and watch the introductory video that will help you get set up. Once you see everything that you can do within the dashboard, it's time to design your home page and upload your products. You don’t have to worry about getting everything right the first time. Just get things up so you can get a feel for what your store will look like and you will get ideas to edit as you go along. It’s also important to test everything out once it is up and walk through the website through the eyes of the customer.

3. Set Up Payment and Shipping
